But just to add some words of encouragement, my twins were delivered at 33wks/2ds and they SCREAMED their little heads off. Yes, they spent awhile in the NICU, but mostly because they were too lazy to eat and it is a VERY different experience than having major medical complications. Really hoping you make it two more weeks though!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16325837.post-37643946235191617252008-07-15T19:12:00.000-07:002008-07-15T19:12:00.000-07:00Of course you can do it. Big Ali and I just watched a show where the women were having babies at 34 and 35 weeks and one family went home the week of delievery. The other had 2 weeks in the NICU. From where you and I have been you could do 2 weeks with your eyes closed. Now don't get me wrong I want you to have a full term baby too (just like I would like to have the experience), but you are doing great. Hang in there.
Mama AliBig Alihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09718639938081306683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16325837.post-76599186742553699102008-07-15T14:53:00.000-07:002008-07-15T14:53:00.000-07:00Liz,Thinking of you and hoping you make it as far ...Liz,

Thinking of you and hoping you make it as far along as you wish and that you will ask if there is anything I can do for you. As a mother of 3, I was blessed to never experience the trials and tribulations that come with having a preemie. I read of your struggles and I am amazed. My life as a military wife seems to seriously pale in comparison. My hat is off to you, Liz! You definitely have what it takes to see this through. Can't wait to hear the good news when this baby arrives, and I'll be praying that's a little later than sooner:)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03249177378469783098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16325837.post-74988215579440218112008-07-15T08:25:00.000-07:002008-07-15T08:25:00.000-07:00Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with...Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this timeKristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09370039794471275243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16325837.post-32679564787244629942008-07-15T05:44:00.000-07:002008-07-15T05:44:00.000-07:00Thinking of and praying for you Liz and your famil...Thinking of and praying for you Liz and your family. They had issues, but very minor compared to Kaitlyn. Like you, I braved pregnancy once again hoping for "just one full term baby." I had a singleton boy after a complicated pregnancy at 35 weeks 3 days. When the peri sent me to the hospital to deliver I was bawling because, even though I was further along, he was still going to be a preemie and all I wanted was a full term pregnancy.

But he has been really wonderful! He never went to the NICU, he breastfeeds (he actually LIKES to eat!) and he's gained weight like a pro.

Have hope! Baby boy McCarthy is going to do great. You are practically 34 weeks and your experience this time is going to be so radically different than last time, even if you were to deliver very soon.

Keep us updated. We'll be thinking about you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16325837.post-11193635074644978042008-07-14T22:18:00.000-07:002008-07-14T22:18:00.000-07:00Ugh Liz.. this is the last thing I expected to rea...Ugh Liz.. this is the last thing I expected to read when I popped over tonight...

Here's hoping things go relatively calmly over the next little bit and that bed rest is a little easier this go round..

hugs

Kristin and PresleighKristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09499823088655188550noreply@blogger.com
