Sushi

Hard to believe that Kaitlyn was 100% tube fed not that long ago. This video is for all of my micro and other mom friends whose children are fed via feeding tube. There is HOPE. I was totally hopeless not that long ago. Kaitlyn eats now like a regular kid (and then some). Watch her devour Sushi! (Wish I filmed the whole dinner as she was eating like she had never been fed before). I think she's going through a major growth spurt!

That is wonderful Liz! I can only imagine how thrilled you must be with her progress.

....now if sushi only came in a liquid ...

This gives me hope. My son is not tube fed, but only has about 5 foods.

Not everyone is as lucky as you. My daughter has been tube free for almost a year and chewing is still a MAJOR struggle. We are stuck on puree and worst of all, she still hates eating. Not sure what to do to motivate her to WANT to eat. Consider yourself super blessed

You know you've had a kid with an eating problem when you video tape them eating and watch in amazement as proud as you'd be if their were playing Mozart.

A few Sundays ago, we stared at our girls as they shoveled chips and salsa in by the spoonful (literally, Abby was eating the salsa with a spoon) and then scarfed down chicken wings too. I couldn't stop staring.
