The Eve of October 4th

It's here once again. The day that should be joyful but isn't

Tomorrow is my twins birthday and the day that Corinne took her last breath. It's the day to celebrate Kaitlyn's life and how well she's doing. It's the day that I hope I don't cry.

2 years ago tonight my labor contracts started in earnest and this time they couldn't be stopped.

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn! Happy Birthday Corinne! We know that you are watching down on your little sister and watching out for her. Kaitlyn misses you. We miss you.
The stones above were made in honor of our girls by my mother in law, Markie and are at their summer home in Western NY. Thank you Markie, they are beautiful.

Happy 2nd Birthday Kaitlyn and Corinne!

Liz, I have been thinking about you all week, and am feeling weepy on your behalf today. I still have a terrible time at the anniversary of my girls' birth, and they both lived, so I cannot imagine how it must be for you. I wish you had gotten a chance to know Corinne. I am sorry for all of the heartache you have had to endure. I wish there was something I could say or do to support you. I hope it helps in some small way to know that there are people out here in the world who have been touched by you and your story, and that you have helped me personally to take time to count my blessings during the terribly hard times.

Although I cannot understand your grief in losing a child, I do understand the grief of being robbed of the experience of a normal pregnancy, delivery, and raising twins who walk and talk, play together, and EAT. It is very very difficult, and I don't think anyone can possibly understand if they haven't experienced it.

I don't know if it helps to say that you are doing a great job. People tell me that all the time, but I have many days when I still don't feel like it! But, for what it's worth, you are doing a GREAT job, and I sincerely admire your dedication. I also appreciate all of the blood, sweat, and tears that you have put into helping Kaitlyn get as far as she has. You are an incredible, loving mother and I am glad to know you.

Much love,
Billie

LLz,
Thinking of you today. It is so unfortunate that you are unable to enjoy today as you should as a family with twin girls. This is a day that should be filled with fun and laughter instead of tears and sorrow, I am sorry that you have had to go through so much.
Sending hugs your way.

My thoughts, both happy and sad, are with you today. Joy at what a miracle one daughter is, and sadness that the other is an angel. But Kaitlyn is a very lucky girl - she has an angel just for her. Oh, how bittersweet this day must be for you! Our love is with you.

Dear Liz, Brian, Miss K and our Angel Miss C...

After talking to you earlier in the week Liz, and all day Thursday, I've been thinking non stop of all of you. Please know you are in our thoughts and soon, I promise, this day will come with smiles and tears of happy and the twinge will lessen. It will never go away, but it will be more bearable as the years go on.

Little Miss K.. Happy 2! I heard you talking and you're doing wonderful! Remember your sister is watching and cheering you on just as we all are.

Dear Angel, watch over your sister and know that you are loved and missed and that the world is not the same without you.

Lots of hugs to all of you, and we're sending lots of love and wishes and I even have my eyes crossed, Liz. :-)

I enjoy reading your blog and following Kaitlyn's progress. On my website I have a links page for "special kids" I added your triplet's names as
Kaitlyn, ^Corinne^ and ^Triplet^ as your incredible story inspired me.

May Kaitlyn continue to grown and progress, and may her siblings watch over her.
