An amazing feed (2 months ago)

I sometimes hesitate to post really great videos like this one here, as I then hear from people, oh wow, Kaitlyn is fine. She's eating just like a toddler. and they think that my life is "easy." It's so far from the truth. Sadly, Kaitlyn's eating started really going down-hill not long after this, her bad behavior came back in and we've had to reinstall her watching the DVD and she's not willing to feed herself more than 2 bites any longer.

But anyways, this was a really great feed and I forget sometimes as I'm in the middle of vomit and marathon feeding sessions that she is eating and 6 months ago she ate NOTHING by mouth.

Enjoy

Liz, this is great! I'm sure she'll get back to eating like this eventually...E has her ups and downs too. 2 steps forward, 1 step back right? And isn't it just so "toddler" to start refusing to do things like eating! She's a wonderful little girl...thank you for sharing!

I know what you mean, those good eating days are so few and far between. James sometimes will do great like eating a whole grilled cheese sandwhich or 4 chicken nuggets and when that happens you just relish in that moment thinking, hoping in the back of your mind could this be it did something just trigger. But you know that is not the case. I wish I could grasp or get inside his body to feel what he is feeling. Our case is quite different from kaitlyns, however my son is tube fed just of last October and I never thought I would say how thankful I am to have the peace of mind now that I know on his bad days he still will get adaquate nutrition. You do a phenominal job I know how it can be at times. Congrats to on the pregnancy my prayers are with you for a happy, heathly one. Tracy

She is so cute! Wow, she has definitely progressed. As someone else said, progress is never a straight line, so don't fear, she is progressing. What a girl, kudos to Kaitlyn for being such a trooper and to you for being so patient.

I wanted to know Liz what is the name of the DVD video you have Kaitlyn watching to get her to eat. My son also has a GTUBE at 2yrs old he will not eat or taste foods. He will only drink very little pediasure milk from a bottle only. Any help or advice would be helpful. he also gets E.I. but we've been unsuccessful on him eating. my email address is: npharden@hotmail.com Any advice out their would be helpful please email me
