Back in hosptial again..

It's monday night, and I've been readmitted to the hospital. as I've said, Placentia Previa can change at any time, even after my good doctor report from Friday, I started bleeding (a lot ) this morning, so immediately went to the hospital, knowing that I'd be admitted for the duration, which is indeed the case.

No bleeding since, so it's status quo again at this point.

Today I'm 33w5days, so am feeling a lot more "comfortable" than I was at 30w, (and obviously so much better than with the twins a million times over), but I still really wanted a full-termer, regular experience.

See, I just heard a baby cry down the hall as typed the above (I'm in Labor and Delivery obviously), that's not to be my experience.....

But I'm in good spirits (better than this morning of course) and just hoping that I can last 2+ weeks more at this point.

Kaitlyn isn't very happy mom's not home of course, and it's complicated, but I feel that it's for a much shorter time now than before and that I can do this (we can do it).

Ugh Liz.. this is the last thing I expected to read when I popped over tonight...

Here's hoping things go relatively calmly over the next little bit and that bed rest is a little easier this go round..

I had my twins (girls) at 33 weeks after 9 weeks of bedrest. They had issues, but very minor compared to Kaitlyn. Like you, I braved pregnancy once again hoping for "just one full term baby." I had a singleton boy after a complicated pregnancy at 35 weeks 3 days. When the peri sent me to the hospital to deliver I was bawling because, even though I was further along, he was still going to be a preemie and all I wanted was a full term pregnancy.

But he has been really wonderful! He never went to the NICU, he breastfeeds (he actually LIKES to eat!) and he's gained weight like a pro.

Have hope! Baby boy McCarthy is going to do great. You are practically 34 weeks and your experience this time is going to be so radically different than last time, even if you were to deliver very soon.

Keep us updated. We'll be thinking about you!

I'm a seldom commentor too. Just had to let you know that I'm pulling for all of you. You will make it through this. All of you will. As a mother of 3, I was blessed to never experience the trials and tribulations that come with having a preemie. I read of your struggles and I am amazed. My life as a military wife seems to seriously pale in comparison. My hat is off to you, Liz! You definitely have what it takes to see this through. Can't wait to hear the good news when this baby arrives, and I'll be praying that's a little later than sooner:)

Hugs and love! Hang in there... this baby is much farther along already. The difference will be astounding, no matter when he decides to arive.

Thinking of you!

Liz,

Thinking of you and hoping you make it as far along as you wish and that you will ask if there is anything I can do for you. We can pick up Julia and Kaitlyn and bring them to visit you, or to the BADM, whatever. Call if you need anything! Hang in there. You are amazing to have made it this far!
Best,
Jessica

Of course you can do it. You have made it into the 30 something week. You have done a wonderful job for your son, yourself and the whole family. Big Ali and I just watched a show where the women were having babies at 34 and 35 weeks and one family went home the week of delievery. The other had 2 weeks in the NICU. From where you and I have been you could do 2 weeks with your eyes closed. Now don't get me wrong I want you to have a full term baby too (just like I would like to have the experience), but you are doing great. Hang in there.

Long time reader who rarely posts. So sorry you are going through this. But just to add some words of encouragement, my twins were delivered at 33wks/2ds and they SCREAMED their little heads off. Yes, they spent awhile in the NICU, but mostly because they were too lazy to eat and it is a VERY different experience than having major medical complications. Really hoping you make it two more weeks though!

Long time reader and I've commented quite a bit :) ((hugs))
Liz,
While I don't wish you sitting in that bed for long, my wish is that he stays in long enough to be healthy. You know what I'm tryin' to say. I kow you must miss K and B and I know they miss you too.

We're all thinking of you and wish you and your family a blessed event.
