Mom and Dad got to hold Kaitlyn!!!

Well, it's about time! I'll post more about the moment later, but thought you might like to see a picture. And yes, that is mascara running down my cheek with my tears. Kaitlyn's eyes are wide open, she LOVED looking at mom, and handled the holding beautifully. She got off the CPAP just for the "holding", in this pic she's on the nasal cannula. She did GREAT!

Liz, I can't tell you how amazing it is to see that. At last, you get to hold your daughter. I'm sure that it was hard even writing this entry.

Kaitlyn looking up at you from your arms has to be one of the best feelings you've felt in a long, long time. I'm so glad that things are going so well and I pray they continue. I'm sure that they will because you're all strong and it just feels like it's the way things are supposed to go.

My best to all of you. - Jay

Liz,
I've been logging in almost every day for updates. Congratulations on getting to hold Kaitlyn - it made me cry too.

I laughed when I saw the photo of your freezer! I used freezer proof breast milk baggies eventually. I think the ones that worked best were made by Lansinoh. They had a double seal abd were extra thick. They're harder to stack neatly, but can save some space. :)

Take care and thanks for the updates!
